Default need opinions busa or 1000 and why?

Looking to build a new bike on a tight budget. Needs opinions on best bang for the buck. want to build it to run 8.60-8.90 on motor. Either bike will have a hays clutch in it and be 64-70" long. My last bike was an 071K that ran 8.80's. I was leaning towards a busa but want to get some more opinions on the best way to go. Main key will be consistency because it will be a bracket bike. looking to buy a cheap busa complete(stock)or a roller if the price is right(like a grudge style roller). engine would remain stock or go 1397 but the clutch will come before more power. if I go busa it would get catalyst body, gsxr wheels, aluminum subframe to lighten it up.(cut frame rail if bike has salvage title) bike will be track only. One reason i was thinking busa is parts availability and ease and cost of increasing engine size to make power. Any opinions and why you feel that way would be appreciated before I jump into this project. Sorry so long Thanks guys Im 165 unsuited if that makes a difference

Vince you just need to make a pass on the rst bike and you tell me what bike you would rather build...just make sure you wear a diaper before you mount up, because it will scare the shi! out of to ride that damn bike...ask capo

    I would build a busa!

I am 1K guy (I have an 07) and I love it to death. Im soooo sick of seeing the Busa's everywhere and they all seem to be the same damn thing but the problem is that it costs more money to buy gixxer parts and they seem a little harder to find as far as variety. As far as consistency if you run a lockup style clutch (single stage or multi) and you get your setup right either bike will run. The other problem is that the 1000's are running harder to make the same power and ET's as the busa's so if you try to go faster you have a greater chance of hurting it. On the oter hand the 1000's are lighter and dont need as much Hp to go as fast. Bottom line if you want to go fast and go cheap and not hurt anything go with a busa. you can find more parts on Psychobike then you will ever need at great prices.

    Hope this helps.

Busa! As stated above...............parts are everywhere and you can build one from the classified section for cheap. I bought my Brock exhaust off of here (full system) for $200.00 as an example. The deals are out there.

John, maybe someday you need to let me throw a leg over one of them there machines of yours. Was talking on christmas eve to capo and he was actually the one that put the doubt in my mind for the busa thats why I started this post to get more opinions. Also if you need some help with either of your bikes this coming year let me know I will be there to help cause I dont think I will have one done in time for this season for money reasons but I'm going to still come to all the races.

You know I got you...the biggest advantage the busa is gonna lend over the 1000 is the tq it makes...it's not gonna take much to make decent power/tq and with your weight, mid 8's is not a problem!!

I just asked for opinions not smart ass comments. if you like the 14 just say that, I personally can afford to build a motor more than once and theres no parts for sale for a 14 compared to a busa. so if Im going to be just as fast or faster than a 14 for half the money and have the same old busa as everyone else so be it. I actually though the busa was the ugliest bike I ever saw(until the 14 came out) Thanks for your opinion.
