B/c I can't stand the ones they sent with the kits. I'm just worried about fitting them to size. I don't remember doing that in the old days.

I just installed them with my MTC drop ins and I'll be honest I have put together a ton of engines cars and bikes and I never even seen anything like that before, But I am not one of those old timers lol, I like the idea of it though, seen clips come out before trashing motors

I USED TO USE THEM ON ALL OF MY MOTORS .BUT NOW IT SEEMS THAT EVERYBODY USES CIRCLIPS AGAIN .GUESS CAUSE THEY'RE LIGHTER ??

NICE THING ABOUT THE BUTTONS ARE THE PINS ALWAYS SEEM TO SLIDE OUT EASIER.THE CLIPS LEAVE A BURR AND MAKE THE PIN HARD TO GET PAST IT .I'VE USED ALUMINUIM AND ALSO TEFLON.
THING IS WITH ALOT OF THE PISTONS THEY MAKE NOWADAYS THERES NO MATERIAL TO HOLD THE BUTTONS ,SO MAKE SURE 1ST LOT OF TIMES THEY MILL OFF THE SIDES .

If you have a Fuel bike, Funny bike or Pro Mod then yes get them as the engine is taken down a lot to take care of either normal maintenance or to repair and replace broken parts.

In all other situations the buttons add a minimum of 20 plus grams to each piston assembly and are not worth it.

Joe Franco has it right, better watch out as the newer Wossner and CP pistons do not have the button support under the wrist pin area so the buttons would not be properly supported and could come out on them if they are not designed for the buttons.

Buttons are an old school thing that is not normally used now.
