Great concept, but about 3 years late!!!!
Everyone that has a old
NOS Pro Street Bike has not worked on since it was put away or I would think it got taken a part and sold. You now have Real Street out running the
NOS Shoot Out bikes of the day. Look at Joe Franco in SS, he has almost gone faster then any Pro Street ever had until this past year.
What I think would be really cool is since Pro Mod and Pro Stock has just about hit rock bottom in
AMA, make a
NOS Pro Street class. If anyone can see the writeing the Bar Bike classes have not grown. So move with the times and go the way the that will best suite the series.
I feel what would be a great idea is the following
Take and make Pro Mod a 4 race class. Take and put 4 races at what ever events don't come close to
ADRL races. Thats the only way it will work. Pay a fair payout and they will come
Then at the other 4 make it for
NOS Pro Street Bikes. See how it goes and then it may have a chance to be class for 2011. I feel a Pro Street
NOS can be something. That would give a stepping stone for Super Street/ Real Street Bikes to go into with out just scrapeing a whole bike. You can still keep the bike you have and up grade it.
The thing that boggles my mind is their is no stepping stone for classes anymore. You need to let guy's get their feet wet and build into something and not have to get a new bike to do it.
We all know Pro Street is the main class at
AMA. If people have 2 options
NOS & Turbo I only think it will grow. I wish it the best and hope it all works out. EK
