Default Busa forks on a GS1150

I have a 1985 GS1150 and I was wondering is there any way to make the Busa front end work on the older chassis, I know that the steering stem is different, but I was just curious if there was any way to have the steering stems switched around or something along those lines, just wondering if anyone here had ever tried or even heard of someone that may have attempted this. All comments and suggestions are welcome. Thanks

yea, I had heard about that, but I believe that the steering stem on the 1000 is the same as it was on the GS, I thought about going that route with the newer 1000 front end but they are just so $$$$$$$$$$$.

I Have a 82' GS1100E, I was wondering if the GSXR 1000 frontend just fits right on there, or are there modifications need. If so, what are they? Thanks.

some you can change the stem and some just need a different bearing. it depends on how long the neck is.

I have a 07 set of forks with a cycle cat top clamps for sale for $300.
the cycle cat top clamp was almost $300 new and it has never been used just mounted for mock up. Oh and have the bearings to fit the Katana gs style neck with it.

Save yourself some money and put the GSXR1100 or 750 inverted forks fits perfect w/ no machining and those front end you can get a lot cheaper. you will have to make stops so they dont dent your tank. They already have needle bearings on them and are plug and play.. Makes the gs's a lot more stable at speed and more weight to keep the front end down too..
