Alright here's my issue, I have a 93 gsxr 750 with a few mods. cruising in 6th gear around 4k rpm the bike feels like it loading up not running smooth, the bike doesn't buck or anything just sounds like it breaking up. On the expressway around 8k rpm the bike sounds clean and runs awesome, also if I'm sitting and a intersection and I try to take off the bike stutters and breaks up then all of a sudden clears out and accelerates.
If I let the bike idle then pull a plug its pretty dark. The problem just occured all of a sudden also bike ran fine then started it the next morning and has this problem. Could a weak CDI box cause this?? I switched the coils to MSD coils and wires the problem seems to be getting worse and worse over time. Let me know what you think let me know thanks

Re: weak CDI?? what you guys think??
Been through the carbs a few times all the float heights check out. It seems like a problem that is slowly getting worse and worse. At one point I lowered the needles and it helped for about a week and now its back to the same thing. Electrical is the only thing i can think of and its the same for every cylinder sut black plugs

Could be. Im sure they are the original down draft carbs. POS. They have to be cleaned, cleaned and then cleaned again. When that dosent work, cleaned again.
Idle and air jets are a pain to get and keep clean.
Emulsion (spelling) tubes get wobbled out as well. Replace them and the needles.
OR,
Buy a set of kehins.

Re: weak CDI?? what you guys think??
Stage 3 factory pro jet kit running K&N air cleaners just cleaned them id say a month ago. The emulsion tubes are also fairly new I had to replace them when I installed the jet kit because they were so outta round. Im starting to stray pretty lean from the recommendations on the tuning card. It never had a low end problem all that would be left is to lean out pilot jets but like i said it never had a problem before and its slowly getting worse. Thats the only reason I'm thinkin electrical this thing is startin to kill me!!!!
Thanks for the info guys

Hi,
If you think it is electrical, check all your earthing point's,one may be corroding or loose..a weak spark will not burn all the fuel and give the appearance of running rich..hope that help's.
