Need Tire advice for KZ 1000
Working on my KZ 1000 street / strip bike. I'm in the process of assembling some custom spoked rims. Front is a 1.85 x 18 and rear is a 5.50 x 17 . I'm trying to figure out what tires to get and I'm still unsure. Front size will probably be 100/90-18 and rear will probably be 190/50-17. I like to run matched sets of tires but I can't seem to find that large of a rear with a front to match. Should I just forget about having a matched set? My ZX12 has Shinko 003's on it and I like them, but they're not available in a size for my front. Looks like I might be stuck with a Bridgestone Battlax BT45 for my front, but I've heard bad reviews on them. These rims are my street rims, I have a set of RC Comps for use at the strip, so I don't have to worry about strip performance but I don't want some hard as a rock cruiser tire either. I need some tire advice !!! KZ guys, let me hear what rubber you're runnin. Thanks again.
