Yamaha FJ1200 ??????????

This is a discussion about Yamaha FJ1200 ?????????? within the Old School Bikes section, where you will Nobody gets left out with this forum; I have a customers 86 Yamaha FJ1200 and for some reason it is mixing gas with the oil and wanted to know if anyone has experienced this before.

    On Xjrs 1300 so baicly the same engin/bike its usally the vacume fule tap leaking or left or prime they have no off postion , you can get rebiuld kits but usally most just fit a pingle tap and blank of the vacuem take of on inlet rubber

    thats the most common one and usally what people try 1st as it dont involve stripping down carbs

    Another issue on these - especially as they get older is the o-ring around the needle seat will dry out and shrink or crack, letting fuel seep around the seat - it floods the float bowls and can puddle in the airbox and flow into the crank case through the vent pipe.
