gsxr 1100 will a busa shock or 1000 fit??

have a 90 gsxr 1100 thats hardtailed currently
lookin to put a shock back on the bike
here say is that busa or 1000 shock will bolt on busa being longer than 1000 bike is stretched and has lowering links on it now.
does any one know if one or the other will fit and which is better..

Iv herd you can shorten a busa shock with a kit look down lower in these post you will see all about it

I have made new upper shock mounts and welded it into the frame on my bikes it works very well

If you try to put the shock strait on it will put the link at a crazy angel down if you can even get it to bolt up

If you got the cash look on ebay there are a few race shocks under dragbike for sale that are direct bolt ons

yes it will bolt rite in you just have to turn the battery sideways and make a new bracket for it. thats what i have on my 90 turbo bike

i think my boyz 1000 shock came off a 1100...so id go with a yes on that one

@jASON. . . . thats a nice looking bike you got there. Just for jokes, my buddy has a Busa shock on the shelf. I'ma try it on my gs1150, thats been modified for an oil cooled gsxr arm and see what happens . . . Moondog and 83gs, thanks for the info . . .

figured u might have one of them on yours.. my battery is in the arm so no problem... what u got a busa or 1000 on yours?

thanks its already be stripped to down to rebuild it again got a 1340 big block h beams ported head cams datalogger etc etc going to be a all new bike just look kinda the same..let me know how it turns out

I just got one question how do you put a 13 inch shock in a 12 inch shock hole position.

If you got it to bolt directly to a gsxr oilcooled frame with out the shock cam binding or it pointing strait down at the ground i havent seen it lay out flat on any of mine.

As far as building a new battery box yes you will have to do that but i dont see how you got it on the bike without grinding on the shock and the cam for clearance.

This what i had to do to make it work on mine with the cam pointed in the correct direction to work rite.This is a rc 51 race shock but it is the same length as a busa 13 inches.You guys must have some really long dog bones, and a weird angle on those things.
