Love the FJ's. My first 2 bikes were a FJ600 and then moved up to the FJ1200. Lost all my pics in Katrina.
"They" say I can't build nothing fast but nobody can tell me who "they" are!

Pics of my 89 FJ1200 I started taking to the strip a couple of years ago. Best runs were 10.7's @ 124 at Bandimere last summer - DA was over 7500'!

Have an 84 FJ1100 going together as a strip only bike. This one should be much quicker. No pics yet...

How bout pics of your project?

    Hi Tezz

Yes, it is strapped in the pics - I leave about an inch of travel. The back is lowered with home made 2 position dog bones. The "street" position raises the rear about 5 inches over this height.

Post up pics of that sweet XJR you have!

    Hi wes

I look forward to reading the progress of the build as almost identical engin to mine, esp the lock up and cases as this is something i may have to do but have been putting off , i did post about clutch but i probley should have posted it hear , would appricate if ya had a read let me know what you think
    http://psychobike.com/forums/turbo-n...17-clutch.html

I looked at 1380 kit but either we have some very bad engineers in uk or they def have a weak point in kit with barrels , last 3 ive read about all cracked inbetween cylinders yet dosent seam to be a problem with the 1314 kits , 1 1380 was blowing head and base gasket like theres no tommoro and these were just road bikes never raced all XJRs in UK , I dont think it an engin problem as quite a few XJRs on stock engins and run a decent amount of gass , im on a 100 shot (WON) and just seen few more installs this year runing 60- 80 shots (NOS)

LOL tracks should open in UK by july for our 1 week of summer and i can finally see if my New electrics i had built work with shifter

Keep the info and pics coming

    Thanks

    Tezz

Old thread, but it's been a long time getting it together - still have minor things to finish up to get it down the track.

    FJ Dragbike project

Anyone updates on the other builds?
