definitely good times! all i did was installed a thin head gasket, degree'd the cams, and had a dynotune on it and it made 168hp then went a 9.24 on motor with extensions and lowered then 9.14 on a very small dry shot....

and it only made 142 or 148 hp stock, i dont remember which, and it was an 06 r1

it was a good friends bike actually, i did the work for him. and Smithers in Kansas City tuned it on dyno...it reponsed very well with the cam degreeing and little more compression. would have liked to have milled the head some and good valve springs with more spray and got it into the 8's.

Damn guys now im really starting to feel better about my times. because I cant do as much tune as the guys with fuel injection motors, since mine is carburated and completely stock, havent even taken the head off or degree cams. i just added extentioins air shifter and nos. I also watched some videos on an 98 or 99 r1 called blue magic, does any one know how fast is that bike, although i dont think is a stock bike. but it sure looks fast.

i guess i should have mentioned that my buddy was foot shifting, no air shifter. it was a complete streetbike that was street ridden and took to the track a handful of times
