6 second pst

This is a discussion about 6 second pst within the Pro StreetBike section, where you will Pro StreetBike Racing Enthusiast; Its good! The more records set the more exposure it will get, the larger it can grow. I dont currently run the class but I do have an opionion lol.....maybe 2010.

speeds get to fast and the bikes to expensive it will kill the class. it will be the same four bikes racing and the others will get tired of donating. nhra killed the hobbiest in almost all thier top classes. busch series and nascar did the same. (last two are extreme examples)
don't get me wrong, i would love to be able to compete right now, but the gap is growing faster then i can learn to ride. my .02 for what its worth.

Sorry to say, if they come out there with those #s with inches and nos, then they must have a stock motor and shouldn't expect to compete. If the motor isn't stock, then either they don't know what they are doing or they need to go see their engine builder!!!

First off u dont need deep pockets. My bike is a pepsi can with a gen x kit. I am in the top 3 every race. you need knowledge and that comes from sitting home looking at data learning your ecu. The worst thing for the people racing this class is someone helping them. You will NEVER be fast period. If you spend all this money and noone helps u you have no choice but to learn it. you have got to learn your own stuff!!!! How many guys could yank off there ecu and boost controller throw it in the garbage put a new one on blanked out and go fast the same day?? Maybe 10 out of what 40 pst bikes. Seb may be the biggest ****lehead I have ever known but he left me no choice but to learn my stuff. I thank him for that now.

I help all of you out but at the same time I expect you to learn. I never just gave you the answer . Instead I made you think about it and helped you figure it out and now look your completely self sufficient. If someone is looking for me to hold their hand at the track because they just want to go fast...I got no problem doing so but its going to cost you per day. If you want to learn so you can be self sufficient....Ill build you a bike, turbo kit, map it etc and then I expect you to pit with us so you can grow. I promise youll be fast and be totally confidant with your decisions on track. Just look at Steve...hes a ****y SOB now.

the progression of the prostreet class or any heads up "pro" class has to be a controlled progression..it good for the class to get faster but if it gets too fast too quickly, it will hurt itself more than it helps itself..As technology advances, the rules have to advance to embrace the new technology but at the same time you can't let that technology run wild either...With prostreet I think the times are gonna flatline where they are at now because the technology is in the class and has been used for years now...what's gonna dictate the next level and how soon we see it is gonna be tire and suspension/chassis development...so when teams develop better suspensions and tire manufacturers develop better tire compounds that's when there will be another leap frog in performance...just my .02!!

If the car guys read some of these posts they would be laughing. The reason why the car classes grow is because the envelope keeps getting pushed and more guys get hooked on racing the heads-up classes, to prove they can hang with the big dogs.

Plus they have the attitude that anyone can win on raceday, and will show up even when they are a few tenths behind the pace. Cause they know even if they dont win, they will learn something for that next race and be even faster.

When classes flat line, they get boring to most.

How many new NHRA Pro Stock teams do you see each year? Not many....

How many new Pro Mod, Outlaw 10.5, and Drag Radial teams do you see each year? Alot! Cause they have not flat lined, they keep getting faster and faster and each person tries to do outdo the rest.

Not a sermon, just a thought.

I don't have a horse in this race but I agree with steve. u really don't need all the fancy things to go fast. learnig your ecm turbo and bike will pay off in the end. I don't thik u will need a fancy turbo kit or motec. but I wouldn't be caught dead without an ams-1000.
No more motorcycle for me. Currently working on my Turbo mustang street car. And tune for reese racing Turbo pro mod.
