I am looking to ad a data logger to my 05 busa build that im working on. Im a young racer trying to get more into the build side of racing as well imm self made as far as all funding for my bike comes from me as well. From any data logger users could you give me advice on which brand data logger I should go with and as much info and advice as you can.
I've run the sl-1 for 2 years now but sometimes it can be glitchy and I have an AEM that I was just about to install but haven't gotten there yet. It has probably the most functionality short of a stand alone unit.
I have used the ZEITRONIX ZT-2 for 2 years now and no issues very easy to set up/use and log with.I log
AFR,RPM,TPS,FUEL PRESS.,BOOST PRESS.,AIT,EXHAUST TEMP.still has room for more.
For the price and the features you cant go wrong with the SL-1. The shift launch light feature is pretty slick too. If your not really going to use the features of the SB6 I would stay away.
Get the AEM AQ-1 to start with, it is everything you want in a logger and works better than you need it to. I love mine, I will use it until I decide to go stand alone.
I was just kinda sceptic because I know my setup is not as out there as your 1k but what I don't want ia to be buying things two or three times. Im trying to buy the things i need the first time and just keep advancing forward in setups.
Buy a AEM AQ. I had a DL-32 I never hooked up. I had a first generation AEM wego switched to a failsafe AEM wego and adding a AQ which I will daisy chain the failsafe into. AEMs stuff will have customer support for a long time. I also log with ECU editor thru the Woolich logger. The Woolich looker spits out lots of data which I can quickly interpret using the AEM style graphical logs and go verify with EE logs and boom perfect tune and drivability. It is also very nice for making small tuning changes.
