Dragon Solenoid specs and specifications

Here are the specifics on my Dragon solenoids

This is the plunger. It is made from a lightweight, anti corrosive, magnetic material that resist everything but acid, therefor you can flow methanol, water, fuel and alcohol without corrosion.

This is how the plunger sits in the barrel. it has more sealing area so it has superior sealing over other solenoids (no leaks)

This is the nitrous barrel that I designed. It is made of a non magnetic anti corrosive material. Being non magnetic means it will not interfere with the plunger activation. This one has a .187 orifice. The barrel stays the same size for .063 through .200 size orifices. Only the exit holes need to be drilled accordingly.

The nitrous barrel has a threaded end that screws into the casing. The o ring is a hardened viton rubber that is chemical and fuel resistant.

This is the case for the .187 solenoid.

This is the coil installed onto the barrel

The nitrous and fuel going through the coil will help keep the coil cooler. There is no need for heat sinks, cooling fins or openings in the case. The col heats up from the tightest windings outward. Heat kills the magnetic force of the coil. This will help make the coil last longer.

This is what the coil windings look like. I worked with the number one coil supplier here in the states to produce a coil to my specifications.

1/4" inlet so there are no restrictions. I have found that on smaller solenoids the 1/8th inlet can be a restriction depending on what fittings are used.

1/8th outlet, the larger solenoids have a 1/4" outlet

As you can see here. Some fittings are more restrictive than others. The 1/4th fitting on the far left is the least restrictive. That is why I chose a 1/4 inlet.
