Default There is only "1" way to avoid MIROCK memberships

Guys we have worked very hard at MIROCK to avoid having to charge membership fees. We know the racers appreciate this, but this is getting extremley difficult to continue to do so if we dont get some help from the racers.

The only way to track points is by your "BIKE NUMBER". Racers this year have been changing their bike number almost every event when they switch bikes back and forth. YOU MUST KEEP THE SAME BIKE NUMBER ALL YEAR! It doesnt matter how many bikes you ride, each rider must use the SAME BIKE NUMBER.

We are finding 2, 3, or 4 bike numbers during the season for some racers and we have to look up their names as well to confirm its the right person because the bike numbers are different. This takes an extreme amount of time.

We dont want to have to start charging memberships and assigning number cards and issuing number plates, so KEEP THE SAME BIKE NUMBER. That is like your social security number.

This is the worst in Crazy 8s and Quick 32. The Pro classes have been pretty good.

If this continues to get worse we will have to stop doing points or charge memberships. We dont want to do either, so let's tighten up there fellas.

If you switch bikes or ride a friends bike, cross out their number or take it off and put your number in it's place.

We used to do points in about 1 hour, and now it takes half a day.

We want to avoid memberships at all costs, but only the racers can make this happen.

If your going to run a class, and are new look at the points and pick a number that no one is using.

If you have already been running a class then look at the points and use the bike number that is listed by your name for all your events and DO NOT change it.

All of this extra time being taken to make sure things are correct is why most series charge memberships. To help make up for time spent on things like this.

So help make things easy on us, and keep the same bike number, no matter how many bikes you ride. Your bike number is your ID.

Jason i tryed too do this. At the last MIR race they told me no shoe polish and gave me a number. I went and found you because we had had this problem before and you said go to the tower because you had alot of stuff you were doing. The tower told me to keep the number they gave me in tech and they would fix it so i still got the points. I will have stickers before the nexts race. But thats the problem when we change bikes if we cant use shoe polish. Not trying to start problems. Just letting you kno what happen with me.

Use permanent numbers on your bike and tech will let you use that number unless someone else is using it too.

We only give out the oval decals to people that dont have permanent numbers.

If you switch bikes then just just put your number on that bike.

They would have never pulled this if AMA was still alive. More crap to come now that you are the only game in town.

Man, be serious. Jason is the best thing for MIROCK, and he is just saying for everyone to use their number.

If anyone would like their number in points adjusted, send an email to me at jmiller@mirdrag.com and state what class you are running, your full name, and the bike that is listed and what you want it changed to. Then get permanent numbers put on your bike and you will be set to go.

Jason has done nothing but try to be great to the racers and help the Mirock series get better. He is an extremely busy man. He hasn't even had time to do the thing he loves, and that is to race. The racers need to try to do things to make his job easier. He has never asked anyone to do anything but what they are supposed to.

I ran into something like this at my local track when I went to tech they asked if I had a number, I told them no and they said that most tracks will now require a NHRA number? if i understood the statement correctly, I will have to get a number even though I go to the track just for fun?
