That's what it seems like. That will solve Jason's problem of trying to finish the event late on Sundays, as the MIR races have been growing bigger each year. That should also guarantee that there will be lots of time for underground racing. Maybe even extend it an extra hour.

Looks good. I would suggest a 6 out of 7 points race count for the Pro point series as well. While there is certainly an incentive to attend all races, and MIRock certainly wants a larger number of racers, VERY few racers make all of the events currently. In the Pro classes(ProMod, PST, RST), none of the rankings would have changed this season with a "drop your lowest" approach. In the sportsman ranks, very few changes would occur, however there would be a few that would be altered with this method, with the most significant being the 5.60 class).

What you're speaking of is what they used to do in AMA, with the exception of that they dropped your 2 worst races.

Yup. In this case, I think 2 would be a little much for the MIRock series though. Takes a bit of the Diehard out of the equation.

I'll throw this out as well. As much as I don't really want to throw money away, I think the entry for the pro classes is too low. Increasing each one $30-50 would still be a reasonable entry. Current payouts give half of the entry back just for making the field. It is neat, but if we all are realistic about racing, I feel the slight increase in the entry would be a benefit to the series.

Perhaps an increase such as this could increase the purse at the big MIR summer race to increase the draw. That race is always a good time, and the more the merrier.

7 races at $700 additional gate each (assuming 14 paying bikes) and there would be $4900 generated for PST over the year. Split that up as a $2500 purse increase, Keep $1400 with the series (they are in this to make money after all), and hell, throw the other $1000 at an increase in the Street ET class (pay back more money for 3rd-8th place or something) to give something back to the racers that are starting out. Do the same for Promod and Realstreet and you'd have a hell of a payout for all of the classes as well as throwing an extra $4200 cash back to the series.
