1bondoman makes a good point. unless you're racing all the time, or have a specific need to keep it NA. a bit of spray wil be the best bang for your buck.

Had a 1287 on my last bike and it worked great. I'am using a 1270 on my current bike.

I've had almost ever zx12 combo under 1400 cc, and I like the 1270 best for a street bike.
Less heat and less starting problems.
Nitrous is great for racing but a bigger motor is always ready.
If the question is which of those give the most bang for the buck the answer is 1270, most HP=1287 with spray, most reliable = stock.
1270 with spray is hard to beat from a cost stand point.
Want to Race? I ain't turning nothing off, and I'm going to push every button on the bike.

It's currently running stock with a 40 dry shot. This bike was bought this way, tuned by KWS.The previous owner supplied a dyno sheet from KWS showing 175 hp motor and 205 on spray.Shortly after buying the bike the PC lost the map.
