Does anyone make de-raked trees for ZX-14???

This is a discussion about Does anyone make de-raked trees for ZX-14??? within the Kawasaki ZX12R-ZX14 section, where you will Kawasaki Kings of street and strip; I'm taking the radiator out and wanted to try de-raking the front end... what do you think ??? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

    Im new to bike's some what, i dont think that would be a good thing to do. any time u mess with rake it affect's the handling. what's the advantage to derakeing the front ?

    As a newbie as well, my understanding is that by sliding the front wheel towrads the rear, you can then extend the rear that same amount to keep the wheelbase in line with requirements. Then because in essence there is more weight over the front tire, it helps with launches and keeping the front end down.

    what you are referring to is considered offset triple clamps, they change the amount of offset from the fork tubes to the steering stem, moving the front wheel towards the motor. but they keep the stock rake.

      So, in order to change the rake the neck of the frame as to be changed?

    someone used to make trees that changed the rake for busas but i think everyone makes offset trees now.

    not for me, our 14 is staying swb and my bike isnt getting any changes any time soon., just looking for a answer for chop

    They haven't been talked about much for the 14 because turbo bikes are typically the only bikes that make enough power to benefit from it, and there is not enough clearance to run offset triples on a turbo bike.

    Call MacIntosh he has CNC program already set, he can put the holes for the forks anywhere you want.
