no they run about the same as all the rest. 8.50's most some have hit 8.4's same as bemmer and busa
Think about it they don't make anymore hp than a genI 1397 busa with head and cams. Not very impressive hp to be a 1441.
you would have thought the hp would have been more. CNC gets about 220hp out just head and cams on a genII busa wich will smoke a zx14r. The 14r is just a big motor kind of like a harley .

I dont know too many 1397's running 8.40's-8.50's. I have heard there are many that can run those numbers, but I have never seen one at the track.

Our shop bike test mule last year ran 8.13 off the trailer the first time the bike was ever run down any track. The weight of the bike and rider was 665 at the time..... Rickey rode it and the slider clutch was set as recommended by Tim and we didn't have time to tweak it. We only made 2 passes that day..... and the 60 foot times were 1.38... we had really tall gearing on the bike and Rickey clicked it into 4th just before crossing the line....it needed a little suspension tweaks as well.

Now the bike is 48 lbs lighter and the head and cams are revised....

I'm not sure if its "fast" yet but were working on it. ;)


We have built several of these engines for customers that are running deep into the 7's all motor, but please don't even ask who.

But if 7.20's all motor is what you consider fast then no, there arnt any "fast" zx14's out there as of yet that I know of. ;)

WOW FIRST off I was not comparing a 1397 et to a 14r et I was answering his question and giving an example as to why it is not any faster than the other bikes it has about the same hp. Also there is not one zx14r that will run 8.5 that will ""meet the emissions and regulations and still have a warranty """ no not one. Put the fly's back in and setup up the stock electronic and see how slow it runs. Once the fly's are removed there goes the waranty. Mr. Rickey G had to remove the exhaust to get the bike into the eights stock where as the GenII busa did it with pipes on. Shoot the 1000s also did it. I'm sure Mr. CNC will tell you as he has on other post that he get as much hp out of a GennII busa with head and cams as 1441 stock imagine what he can get out of a 1441 busa so the zx14r is just as fast as all the other bikes out there. Nothing speacial till you give it to MR. CNC so you know who to call for fast bikes so pick up the phone.
As Mr. CNC has shown if you mod the bike it will fly.

No whats sad is that you can make the same hp with a 1397 that you can with a 1441 and people like you think the bike is a monster ha ha ha.
The bike is fast no doubt but put it in the hands of MR. CNC and then it will be faster.

Team madness come to this side of the pond with your bike, I show you a fast bike... I believe the Adams grudge bike that was built for Roger when it made a pass on motor would be the fastest one, I can't see anyone coming close to what it did with a 14..
