Default New noob to drag racing

Hey guys Iam from stillwater mn. I own a 04 cbr 1000rr fakesol. Ilove the bike compared to my past bikes. My first bike was a 95 yzf 750 and my second bike was a cbr 929 erion edition. I love to go out riding on the street and hitting twisty roads but after getting tickets I have decide to get into drag racing. I just took my bike to the track a couple weeks ago. My first pass I ran a 10.40 and was pretty happy. I managed to run my best of 10.38 at 134 mph. I think I did decent for my first time ever to the track ever. I really loved it and plan on setting my bike up for the strip. I would love to get the bike running 9.5s with no power mods. All it has right now is a rs5 slip on and mabe an air filter. I had the bike on the dyno and it made 147, 150, 151 horsepower on a dynojet. My plans are to stretch it 6 inches install a power commander 5 so I can get the bike tuned since it runs rich up top. I will also buy a quick shifter to help me not miss a gear. I dont know what else to get to get my bike to launch better. My best 60 foot was a 1.89 with a strapped front end. Any advice wpuld be great thanks.

I would go with an air shifter i used to be against em until i tried it best thing ever. lol thats a pretty good time on a stock wheelbase bike i would slam it down as low as you can and run it also gearing if you havnt done that yet. I dont know much about them honda clutch but do some research on em they can be your best friend or worst enemy haha hope this helps get you started.
I dont mind sharring my secrets because beating you straight up would be my pleasure.

That seems to be the bike for racing. I might just keep my eye out for a drag bike

Im new to the forum thing but i am a suzuki guy...

My first pass on my 1k was 10.15... 2 years ago. My fastest pass a couple of weeks ago was a 8.89 with 4500ft corrected air...

My best advice is to be ready to spend money.... I wanted 9's hit them.... wanted 8's hit them... now i want 7's and 6's if my check book can handle it...
