    Default Average track banshee #'s?

Hey guys i'm curious what these machines will do at the track with some average mods. I dont own one but I have a buddy who is constantly badgering me for a race against my bike. I know they are brutal through the 1/8th because of the MASSIVE advantage of two slicks and a wheelie bar but what will they run through the 1/4? I believe he is 12'' over and runnin mid to low 5s through 1/8.

Probably more like high to mid 6's. Some of the more highly modified ones maybe.

Mav, Im having a hard time believing an "AVERAGE MODDED" banshee can run in the 5s.
If he is running in the 5s, that beast is HIGHLY modded.
The BIG STROKER banshee motors on spray can run mid 5s.
ANYway, I can tell you the #s I run with my ATV.

I would say 6.10's - 6.80's on a good set-up. To run mid 5's he would have 8-10k in the motor. There is only a select few that have ran mid
5's that are banshee based motors.

Thats what I needed to know. I told him that he had a race if he pulled his bar and didnt spray on me. He then offered to do that plus set me out two and give me the break! Either this guy doesnt know what a good rider on a 600 should run or he is actually very very fast. He would have to run a mid 5 to set me out that far and win. How would he back half if he actually runs a mid to high 6? I know very little about these set ups.

If the local guy i'm talkin bout is runnin mid to high 6s then he isnt anywhere near the threat he thinks he is. A swb 600 will cut in that neighborhood. How do these machines usually back half?

Brian mitchell from texas is building some fast 4 mill's and they're running in the mid low 6's with average size and skilled riders on alky and no spray. I have however seen rudy kurtz banshees running in the high 3's in the 330ft sand drags.

A lot of guys, stay away from the quarter mile on Banshee's. The fuel draw by these little thirsty motors is so great that it doesn't take long to suck the bowls dry(blown engine). I have seen some people do it but they had severly upgraded fuel systems to keep up with the amount of fuel draw from the Carbs...I will run mine in the eighth, but i'm scared of anything else.

Ah ok. I'm learning a little more about these machines daily. I have never watched one make a pass but I'm gonna try to get this cat out on the track and make him prove what he's talking.
