    Default Girlfriends quad

Ok, some of you may recognize me from the turbo/nitrous section. Just noticed the atv section today. So here's the thing. I am looking at getting my girlfriend a quad so she can go to the desert with me, and maybe once in a while hit up trails or the track. Meg has NO experience on quads or dirtbikes, but does ride an R6 on the street, and I ride dirt bikes. Any suggestions on a good quad to start her on? I was thinking the Yamaha 450, maybe a couple years old, or the suzuki ltz400 or 450. all advice is appreciated

my wife started on the yfz 450 and she had a blast.............i would go with either 1 of the 450's as they wider and more stable than the 400's.

That's the type of information I am looking for. The most experience I have had on quads has been a Raptor in Glamis (rolled it doing donuts), and a few rides on an LTZ400

If she already has the basics of riding(clutch and gear maniulation) I would definately start with the 450's for the types of riding you are describing. Best bang for the buck and still be able to keep up with the dirt bikes. A good suzuki 450 has a nice wide stance and electronic fuel injection, that will make it easier to maintain for both of you.
