Ronnie I'm not saying you did any thing wrong. Please understand that, What I'm saying is if builders do not push the limits or read into the rules, look for new ideas etc etc. then the bikes will all be running the same numbers day after day, year after year. I'd expect any body building a bike for me to be on the cutting edge of what they can do.
Now since there is a question of what has been done it's up to tech to make a decision as where to go from here. Either revise the rule to allow or disallow this action. Like I said before, NASCAR runs into this all the time. After all I have read on here I don't see any "cheating" being done. It's not like they say wheel base can only be 64" and your running 65". It's more like they say bike can only be 64" and your 65" and your view is I am at 64" if you measure it at front of tire to rear of tire. It all depends on where you measure.
One key thing missing there is ...measurement to be made from center axle to center axle.
