Everyone we have talked to as many Racers as we can feel that rule needs to be changed. I can't see how you can ban him from the class for 5 years, with the economy the way it is, how can you justify going from a 20,000 ****** bike to a 70,000 ****** bike as prostreet is his only option.

The only other option he has is only run the Mirock Series, as they have no rule in the real street class that will ban him. So will AMA miss out on maybe picking up more sponsors or just letting them go over to another series..

I would like to have a poll to see what everyone else thinks

    4.3.2.10.2 ELIGIBILITY

Any rider who wins a championship in Real Street loses eligibility to race in this class for three years.

WOW! ineligible after a single championship? I can see two, but one isn't right. he should have a season to defend his championship, give other guys a chance to knock him off... Just my thoughts.

Garron, they put that rule in there to keep the class rotating the champions out of the class and not killing it by letting people just camp out in the class and eventually keep other lesser funded racers from competing..It sucks for JT but unfortunately it's a doubled edge sword for AMA...If they let people like JT stay in Real Street and win championship after championship, he will single handily kill the class..Put him on a prostreet bike and you guys can run a 2 bike team and maybe slow down the Velocity and NLR boys..There's no limit to the number of chmpionships you can win in the pro classes!!

the cost of a prostreet bike is crazy even a two bike team with things in the economy like they are.

So should they tell Mickey Slow to move up to pro mod championship after championship.

I think they should let him race he isn't killing the class, everyone is pretty close, the championship came down to a couple points.. You can't ask for a better race down to the wire than that.

Ban the bike not the rider, don't think it would go as fast with Ryan Schnitz, Keith Thompson, Rickey Gadson, so what are they trying to do

The rule was originally intended to keep factory-supported pro riders from dominating the class with money, but that’s not an issue with independent teenager Teasley. He has no factory backing at all
