Re: Will the rule be changed in Real Street???
1st. There is 3 bikes that have been 7.30s on here for sale for less then 50k so I don't see how everyone keeps sayn 70k for a prostreet bike and it's beside the point in this thread....
Orignally voted No after reading some of the posts I agree with Ama taking away Super Street there isn't a class to move up.
I think Ama needs to address this rule and let everyone know their intention.
I don't agree with if Ama don't let JT run we won't support them anymore cause I think in the past to many companys have had influences over rules this away and I think it's ****ty. If Adams don't want to support AMA over rule they've raced with for 2 years me as racer don't need to support Adams anymore either then. I think Adams would want to put another rider on that bike to win a championship to prove they are the better company with the best products if their rider wasn't allowed to race anymore.
It's not personal I think JT is great person and needs a place to race and I'm sure everyone can come to agreement to make everyone happy.

So
AMA tells you guys he can't run the current bike and he goes and gets another bike and builds it as an exact replica but he can't just build on what he has to make it a prostreet? that doesn't make much sense to me...
Ask Timbo what classes lil nick is racing in 2010.

I guess Adams can just put Ryan Schnitz on it he is only about 5 maybe 10 pounds more then JT and we all know he can ride too... I understand Adams not wanting to run another Pro Street with the tuff times right now. They would need to invest so much money to build another pro street and much more money during the year with clutches and motors.
That call has already been made.Guess we will just to have to see

Re: Will the rule be changed in Real Street???
I don't get it. This rule was put in place when the class was started but now that the rule applies there is an issue? I do not like it but at what point are the rules going to be concrete? I would hate to see JT leave the organization. The rule was fine until it had to be utilized. I did not like the fact that they allowed aftermarket wheels in the class and such loose rules on the turbos but guys still built bikes and raced. It's always something though. What would be the ideal fix for this situation?

If JT can't race in AMA I am sure Adams will have another rider on the bike. I just think that Coby would like have JT back as he is a great kid to work with. The riders that Coby can put on the bike are just as good or better but I think Coby would like to keep working with JT to keep working on sponsors for a pro street ride down the road. If Adams were to put JT on a pro street it would be a Kawi and they would build it in house so that's why the cost would drive up for Adams as the real street program doesn't have any factory support it is coming from Adams Performance and a few small sponsors.

Re: Will the rule be changed in Real Street???
The other problem I see down the road is AMA racers gaining more sponsors. AMA is a great place to race but they do not pack the stands and pits full of people like MiRock does. So getting sponsor ******s with empty stands is hard. I know AMA plans to work harder on that stuff but sponsorship deals are being signed as we speak for 2010.

You seen a kawasaki for less than 50,000? well lets factory in what it cost to run one for a year?
The Real street bike sat in the corner until it was time to race, not much to do to her.
Its not us not supporting AMA, we would just have to run the bike in Mirock only, which is the same class with this rule omitted. If you work on sponsors for a program and a rider they want to stick with him, it would be the only thing we could do, agreed?
And why not support Adams, Coby has supported AMA since the 90's.
We just want to race, with a great Kid!!

Re: Will the rule be changed in Real Street???
Either way this turns out, I hope JT and Crow continue to run MIROCK next year. I may be mistaken, but I do believe they made atleast 6 of our races last year.

Re: Will the rule be changed in Real Street???
Let's all ask HTP PERFORMANCE. He changed his Real Street bike into a Pro Street in a weekend. HTP spends his own money and I don't think he has no major sponsers. His Black N Orange Busa did damn good for being the first time out. Yes it had alot of Brock's Performance parts and Adams Performance parts and alot of named parts but it went 7.45's @ 190. NOS BIKE. Don't quote me on this but I don't think KT is running Real Street in either series next year.

Seems like a silly rule. But i can also understand why they do that for certain classes.

Re: Will the rule be changed in Real Street???
I never said I wouldnt support A.M.A. And it is what it is, It does suck u have to take that package and ghost ride it. Our plan was to move up to super street and set a new mark. And we may have two prostreet bikes next year. God only knows ! And I dont want a rule change Just for J.T., If there was a change I want it to be best for every one. + im not going to just run MIROCK, Who ever starts out on the bike will finish both series. PEACE COBY
