This is a discussion about Will the rule be changed in Real Street??? within the AMA Dragbike Series section, where you will AMA Dragbike Series supported by PsychoBike Members WorldWide!; I dont know if my opinion counts because I didnt spend the money to run at AMA because I run 8.30's not 8.00's.

If one person wins it over and over then I would think it would run off some people, maybe it wouldnt but if I knew that the same guys were going to win every season then what would be the point in spending the time and money, especially for the racers that drive a long way to race at AMA. I think Jermey must be a great rider but I think that his weight makes a good advantage over the heavier riders, I can only hope that God stops making light jockeys so some of us heavier riders can compete...LOL...No matter what AMA decides I will follow the class if JT is in it or not and only hope the best for him.

So should they tell Mickey Slow to move up to pro mod championship after championship.
I think they should let him race he isn't killing the class, everyone is pretty close, the championship came down to a couple points.. You can't ask for a better race down to the wire than that.
Ban the bike not the rider, don't think it would go as fast with Ryan Schnitz, Keith Thompson, Rickey Gadson, so what are they trying to do

As a rider in a "pro" class you can win multiple championships...they don't want guys with lots of financial backing such as factory support wiping the floor with guys that don't have that type of support...JT has an advantage that just as good as having factory support and that's his size...Lil Nick and the Playthings crew faced the same situation in Superstreet and had to move on to prostreet to give someone else a chance to shine in that sportsman class...You can't leave one man/team dominate to the point it runs the other 15+ teams off...It's a sad reality but it is the reality!
So AMA tells you guys he can't run the current bike and he goes and gets another bike and builds it as an exact replica but he can't just build on what he has to make it a prostreet? that doesn't make much sense to me...

They should let him race. The real street class put on a great points battle and great racing. I could see if he killed the class and there was no other rider close. Yes he is light but the wheel base corrects a lot of that. His bike is a lot shorter then anybody else. I guess Adams can just put Ryan Schnitz on it he is only about 5 maybe 10 pounds more then JT and we all know he can ride too... I understand Adams not wanting to run another Pro Street with the tuff times right now. They would need to invest so much money to build another pro street and much more money during the year with clutches and motors.

Take a totally stock bike with nitrous, a Chromoly arm and build it to a pro street bike? that makes sense to you.
How much money we talking out of pocket?

I guess people do not know the jump from real street to pro street cost as much as it does.
We have a bike we have a rider, let him race

How many people have factory support? I can think of only one, his name is Rickey Gadson, and he is still in Real Street next year

So you believe that since he is small that he should be kicked out of the class, because some how people think that is as good a factory support, I'm not understand the thought process behind that.
so if we get him to eat more than a half a chicken nugget he can come back next year?

You should take this up with AMA Tech/Rules Dept. You will accomplish NOTHING here....

I look at it this way I would love the chance to come in and knock of the champ. I dont care if he had 5 championships. From what I saw he did not run away with the points. I know if I was in that class I could not afford to move up. Keep him in it!!!!
Thanks

very good point who wants to be the paper champ!!!
Keith, Ellis both held the record in the class, everyone is very close, a lot people going 0's and 90's, Big guys getting done, Del and Coby both having a chance to win, so if you make Teasley leave you still have the others in the class that are just as fast, you don't think that will not make people not want to run, or by making Teasley leave you have people say well Heck Teasley's not going to be there so I got a chance to win.

Re: Will the rule be changed in Real Street???
What killed SuperStreet was Real Street not the total domination of PLayThings And Nick, they made people work harder, the deserved to win, and decided just to move up because they had the money to..
