02 GSXR Engine Boging.
Fellas need a lil help on some trouble shooting. We just replaced the engine on my patna 750, his origianl engine blew. The second engine he got a bad deal on ( had a crack an was leakin). Anyway the problem since the second and now 3rd engine has been installed is the engine has been boging out or has a lose of power. It rides fine untill you try an open the throttle on it has like a pause before the power kicks in. I'm thinking something to do with the fuel system. Have anyone had this type of problem?

Re: 02 GSXR Engine Boging.
Yeah we checked over the plugs same thing with the 2nd engine. Now I"m thinking it could be the fuel pump since the filter has been cleaned & still running the same.

Re: 02 GSXR Engine Boging.
Wonder if it could be dirty injectors. Any rust in fuel tank at all even just very light surface rust? Plus this ethanal gas sucks especially for storage has it sat a while? And maybe check around secondarys make sure nothing gummed up around them (if it has secondarys) and just for heck of it pull a spark plug see if it got alot of carbon on it if it does replace them all. Shoot could be alot of things best of luck.....

Re: 02 GSXR Engine Boging.
sounds to mee like you may need to do a sync on your carbs/throttle bodies wichever you have....(pretty sure old katana is not fuel injected) usually if it is the tps you will have a code stored in the ecu so you can do whatever magic suzuki requires for you to bring it up to find out...
