I would think it should be considered a common sense rule in motorcycle racing more than anything. Realistically jeans are no better than shorts if you come off at 119 mph so it's just not worth the risk. Imagine if your in the championship hunt for your class and you cant race the last race due to some injury that could have been prevented cause you get hurt. Trust me it sucks, and I know. MPS has suits for like $349. Thats nothing compared to the B.S. you will go through if you have road rash on half your body.

Road Rash definately sucks...if your not convinced so let me take a cheese greater to your knees for 10 seconds. Believe that is getting off easy. you wont ever runa race without leathers after that.

Here's an example of last year,I asked many riders if they had leather pants,they replied yes,there in my trailer its just to hot with them on. I said if you have them get them on please.Another rider says no I do not have leather pants,I replied please have them for the next event.So this always ain't a money issue,its racers just not doing what they are supposed to.Im no trying to be a hard ass to any one,but I will if someone jacks me around every week with the same excuses,I will look out for the new racers as I have in the past,but my god your just spending 200.00 dollars for pants.Ive seen many wind breaker jackets,no gloves,jackets unzipped,high speeds on return roads,scooter accidents,and etc.Just trying to run this thing the right way,and safety will be my main concern.
