Kinda hard to say. It would depend on your motor setup and how much horsepower you have at the rear wheel.

but with pistons, h beam rods, and valve springs a 80 shot with a good tune should hold up right?

Yep,with no problems. Do you have studs? The most I have heard sprayed with my Spraybar with a setup like that was a 130 shot.

thats what I wanted to hear... do you know what the fastest time is that you have seen a motor set up like that run?

Re: 05-08 gsxr1000 nitrous motors STD bore
Mine was standard bore low compression last year. 05 model. Compression was about 9.0:1. JE Pistons, carrillo a-beams, 16mm wrist pins, lower main girdle support, head studs, stock head except stainless exhasut valves and hd valve springs, ape head studs, stock cams. Had gixx1300r real street spray bar with a 44 jet on each stage(2). So about 150 shot. Bike dyno'd at 275 hp on RC's performance dyno on c16. Fastest I ever went on it was 8.3s. I'm 190 unsuited and the bike was 400 lbs. At the last rock race went to a 47 jet on one stage and a 50 jet on the other. So that was about 180 hp. Was right at 300 hp. Bike was flying but burnt up a piston because the hub quit and it wasn't switching from stage 1 map to stage 2. Biggest problem was the low compression motor on that little 1000 had no torque. I was leaving on the first stage at 100%. Lighter bike, lighter rider it would have flown. Going back though I would have used the stock bore high compression and used a 40 jet. That would be a good combo. Or get the stock bore high compression pistons with the compression ring where the second ring would normally be and run a 2 ring design with 16 mm wrist pins and sprayed about 100 hp.
Just for the record that bike got hosed with both stages down a 1/4 mile track all year. I would say at least 100-150 passes on the motor and the bearings did not look bad at all.

Also if it's a 07-08 your best bet probably would be a stock bore spray set-up due to the weaker cylinders until you burn something up(because with nitrous it eventually will) and then go over bore.

thats really good for that set up...you can build that motor for way less then a 3mil and the times and horsepower are close. how much time do you think you would have picked up by having the head done?

Re: 05-08 gsxr1000 nitrous motors STD bore
You used the A-beam instead of the H-beam rods? Was this with a dry or wet nitrous system? what brand piston is the 2 ring design. I think I understand were you were going with this. In the car world we sprayed some hefty kits but always stayed away from pistons with high ringlands and hollow domes. what brand piston? i wanna google.
