With the head done I just wouldn't have needed to spray as much but there would have been a little more horsepower on the hit which would have helped. But the biggest thing with this bike was getting the nitrous there quickly so it would leave on some hp. Biggest problem was the lack of hp off the line. Fastest 60' was only a 1.30 and fastest trap was 165. Yes the motor is a lot cheaper to build than any other. But the biggest help to this motor would have been a set of cams but that was another catch 22. Bigger cams would have taken more bottom end but it it would have been flying on the big end. So I really don't think the head would have hanged it but so much but a clean up on the head would have been best.
Yes A-beams. They are good to 300 hp and lighter. Most builders have gone to them for the rotational mass.
Nitrous was all dry, fueled on c16, no timing pulled, stock pump, stock injectors, stock fuel rail, just a crushed regulator, and 2 pc3's.
Most importantly the 5 hour one way trip to RC's Performance for my man Chuck Bowyer to tune the bike. That was the key that tune.
They were custom je pistons that were a 3 ring design just like the shelf turbo pistons. Just with the ringlands moved down and 16 mm wrist pins.
Also this was on a stock frame, no short neck, stock gas tank, stock body work, stock wheels, gen 1 stock busa shock, flat link, no off set clamps. Just a garage built motor and bike.
Here was the nitrous set-up. 2 stages(off brand cheap solenoids), and the purge right at them to get the nitrous to the motor asap. The last fittings aren't in there but you get the idea and yes it was all in the air box. Also here are some pics of the piston after it got burnt.
Sorry pis out of order but you get the idea, also found pic of final nitrous set-up

.125 I believe. Will have to double check though, pulsing them killed them.

Just some info
Solenoids
Flows up to 150hp .062 orifice
Flows up to 200hp .078 orifice
Flows up to 550hp .125 orifice
The nozzles on your spraybar has an orifice of .134. That will give you an indication of how much my Spraybar can flow. You may want to down size your solenoids and purge. Large noids dont like to be pulsed.

Man this makes me second guess going turbo. Ive got a 2stage dry spray bar now. Could just go with a nice forged rotating assembly and spray the crap out of it. Wouldnt have to buy an AMS or any other electronics. Already have a 5 dial as well :) hmmmmmmm. Could you post some more pics of your bike? What wheel base is that?

what is the biggest cams you can get with the std bore blocks? can you do a lot of head work with the block set up like that and is it really worth it?

70" wb, my bike was originally built for turbo but then I wasn't happy with the turbo, I just like dealing with nitrous.

Awesome bike man, love the look/stance and wheel base. How long is the tail?

J, you should turn the "T" so that both of the solenoids are on each side of the "T". That way the system is balanced and get smaller solenoids and a much smaller purge.

Yeah I'm not running that crazy stuff anymore. I converted the real street bar back to a single stage and am running a standard set-up again with no purge, just kept the system very very short in length.
