No the gen1 and gen2 zx10's do not make the power the 2011 makes. You can send the 2011 ecu off and have it flashed and pick up alot of power. That is not the case with the earlier models. But to answer your question the new zx10 is leaps and bounds over the 08 GSXR.......

08 gsxr 1000 makes about 10-5 more rwhp than 1st/2nd/3rd gen zx10r, and 4th gen 10r makes about 7 more rwhp (flashed ecu) than 08gsxr 1000.

The 2011 zx10 with flashed ecu,pipe and tuned on pump gas is pushing 195hp..08 gsxr is no where near that,maybe a 08 busa but not 1k

Agreed I've never seen any 08 gsxr make 195-200hp on a bone stock all bolt on motor where the 2011+ zx10 does.
