Picked up a GSXR1000 finally

Well, after much soul searching and looking for the right deal to come along I finally found a GSXR1000 that was all that I was looking for. It's a 2001 Black/Gray that's exceptionally clean with subtle mods for now. It's got a couple of existing little mechanical flaws but hopefully those will be sorted out really soon in time for us to make a visit to the track with it before they close for the season around here. I'll try to get a pic posted of it soon. I'm going to find out first hand how/if these lightweight bikes will run just as fast as the big boys with way less power.

It's already got a Ti-Force exhaust on it but thanks for looking out. I seriously appreciate it. I wouldn't mind trying to work out some kind of trade for a long swingarm for the approximately 10 over one that's on the bike now though. Once I get a pic or two posted I'll be in a better position to make trades or sell parts from it in order to get what I really want for it. They should follow soon.

I got a black and silver 01 gsxr 1000 brand new when they very first came out. They are pretty rare to find one still in good shape. I only know of one locally. I have only seen him riding it once. I have thought of trying to buy it from him. I sold mine back in 04 to build my 03 turbo gsxr 1000. I want to buy a street bike since all my bikes are street legal drag bikes right now. I have ben thinking of getting a 2011+ zx10r, 05-08 gsxr 1000 or a 01 gsxr 1000 just like pictured. I think of the black and silver 01 1000 as a classic. I just really like them.
