06 1000 head gasket

When I was taking head gasket off I found some oil residue on both sides of the gasket pretty much all along the exhaust side. Wondering everyone's

    Default 06 1000 head gasket

    Hey guys just tore motor down for winter. When I was taking head gasket off I found some oil residue on both sides of the gasket pretty much all along the exhaust side. Wondering everyone's opinion. Bike didn't smoke, leak and ran good.

    it happens when you break the seal of the head gasket on the tear down..you are ok and good to go with a new gasket when you put it all back together..
