Just picked this 07zx for a trade on a R6. Bone stock except for cheap slash pipe exhaust and a 520 kit. Need some tips and easy mods to do right away. Thinking swb bike since ive already got my 08 gsxr 1k slammed and stretched. Lets hear it guys

Remove flys. And weld the rivots in the basket. Gsxr valve spring for the the clust. I got some 4192357531

Bet the bigger rivits in the basket slam it and get some seat time. Or buy my McIntosh arm and let her eat

If you want to keep it swb and make it quick? Cut the forks,dme flat oil pan,sidewinder,flat link,weld clutch slipper and rivets,good clutch and springs,stay stock gear,and ride the Hell out of it....

slam it low as possible, gear, sec flies removed, rifflemans 1/5th throttle, weld rivets in basket, stiffer clutch springs and work on that clutch hand and she will run some good times man.

get rid of that gen 1 swing arm go back to the gen2 swing are reason why the gen2 doesnt have any over bracing which when you slam the bike down the over bracing will hit the shock resivor unless you decide to go with a custom built old zx6r or after market shock that has a remote mount resivor.
either way stretch or slam swb i would re valve the stock shock or use a heavier busa/ zx14 shock the zx10 shocks as they sit are to soft to be slammed on unless you are a light weight rider.

Def not a light weight rider. im prolly 195 suited. What do you mean by get rid of the gen 1 swingarm. this is a gen 2 bike, im assuming the arm is stock. Or am i missing something?!? Just wondering. I noticed she's got a leak from the valve cover gasket. Will prolly do a valve adjustement/inspection since she's at 16k miles. Gonna do block offs at the same time, and taking the secondaries out. What else can i do while im there? Prolly gonna do plugs and ???? while there.

Yes you have a gen2 zx10 but that is a gen1 swing arm.... The swing arms from gen1-3 can interchange the gen4 can not because theg change where the shock mounts and pivots from.
The gen 1 and 3 have over braced swing arms the gen2 arms are under braced because the under tail exhaust went through the swing arm... If I need to post up pics I will I can't from my phone right now maybe someone else will get to it before I can.
