Oil in airbox problem

This is a discussion about Oil in airbox problem within the 1000's section, where you will 1 Liter Bike Talk for.... Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, Yamaha; I have a 01 gsxr 1k and while checking my air filter I found oil in the airbox, does anybody know what could cause this ?

    I have a 01 gsxr 1k and while checking my air filter I found oil in the airbox, does anybody know what could cause this ?

    Vent hose from crankcase breather. Unhook it and put a filter on the crankcase

    It's cylinder pressure blowing by and causing crankcase pressure. This is blowing some oil out the only vent it has into the airbox. The easiest solution is what Bryan said of putting a filter on the vent and disconnecting it from the airbox. Dont forget to plug the hole in the airbox.
