my bike did this when i had a ridiculous amount of spring pressure in the clutch, the springs were shimmed too much. i switched to a Brock's kit and springs and never had a problem out of it and the noise was gone as well. my guess is your stack height is a little high after adding the zx10 steel. i think you're supposed to remove the bottom fiber and replace it with the zx10 steel so it would be (zx10 steel, oem steel, oem fiber, oem steel, etc...). if you didn't do that, you'd be shimming the entire pack, adding additional spring pressure and creating a similar scenario to what i had. someone will correct me if i'm wrong, i'm sure, but that's what i'm thinking.

I removed a fiber from the middle of the stack, because I followed the directions I got from the gixxer.com forum. I might get the brock's kit and stop being so cheap lol

As stated above check your stack height should be around 1.9 inches. While you have it apart look carefully at all the pieces and parts checking for signs of wear or damage. Pay attention when you take it apart to be sure you didn't leave something loose the last time you were in there... Good Luck!....
