well finally got my evil arm and flat link installed..as well as my rpm pan..

Alot of guys have blown motors using that RPM oil pan,especially on the zx10...Do some research on it,the pan and pickup is a bad design and starves the motor of oil and causes spun bearings..I run a DME pan and pickup on my 07 zx10..Other than that the build looks good

I agree above my dme pan has been good and stock cut been as well but had a buddy hurt two motors with the Tom pan

ya i was thinking of doing something different with the pickup either that or use the dme pickup with the rpm pan...

is it the pickup falling down and loosing oil pressure?..or the swinging pickup getting stuck and not swinging with the oil..i cant see the pan itself being an issue ...there has got to be an answer to fixing the pickup or modifying it to work like the dme pickup...anyone have a dme pickup they can snap a few pics of for me ..my email is kawboy10@hotmail.com if u guys can hook me up...thanks i've just finished swapping the matris fork cartridges into my streetbike forks so now i'm gonna start cutting the internals down on the dragbike forks..that should have the chassis pretty much finished up then start on the motor work...thanks everyone for all the help and advice...

I wouldnt mix/match pick ups and oil pans...If your gona run a DME pick up you need the matching pan..All the pick ups are machined to work with their pans,your better off with a cut stock pan than a rpm....Lubrication is too important,to mix parts,cut corners,try and save money,etc...

ya i hear what your sayin ..it's down to making things better if there is something that can be improved on i'd like to know how to make the part better and i'm sure it would be benificial to quite a few guys who have these pans...back in the day we used to make trap doors in our pans for long wheelies so i'd like to make it work just for my own gratification ..but i'm gonna cut my stock one down and use it as well and have the rpm pan as a project ....how much are you guys cutting off your spacers to lower your forks?..

i had thought about just welding the pick up i the rear position which is more important for what we do then u wouldnt have to worry about the oring and air at the swivel point

yes exactly and even trap door the pan for even more protection pretty much like having a well like the stock pan has...see all it takes is a little thought and some effort to improve and move forward...thats the direction i was thinking as well thats some good info man...thanks

Well finally got off my butt and cut my forks down and installed the pirelli tire..wow what a change in the whole stance of the bike no more dirtbike height just lowered in the dirt...i safety wired the pinch bolts for the front axle for piece of mind now that they face down ..and ended up using a newer ninja 250 master cyl its really compact and light just need to shorten the lever a bit...i'm using the r1 alum kickstand it needs welded back together from getting about 6" cut out of it ...and that pretty much takes care of the chassis, now time for some motor work i have planned in the new year......

hell yeah man. she is really coming together. wish i was making progress. man has sat untouched for a hot minute now. hell i cant even afford a front wheel lol
